Managing Segments

The Segments page provides a visual builder for creating and editing user segments.

Segment list

The list shows all segments with:

• Key — the segment identifier
• Conditions — number of conditions in the segment
• Version — the segment’s version number

Creating a segment

1. Click Create Segment
2. Enter a unique key
3. Add one or more conditions using the condition builder

Condition builder

Each condition row has three fields:

• Property — the context attribute to match (e.g., email, plan, or any custom attribute)
• Operator — the comparison operator (see Targeting Operators)
• Value — the value to compare against

All conditions within a segment use AND logic — a user must match every condition to be in the segment.

Editing a segment

Click any segment to open the editor. Add, remove, or modify conditions as needed.

Deleting a segment

1. Open the segment in the editor
2. Click Delete
3. Confirm the deletion

Caution

Deleting a segment that is referenced by flag targeting rules will cause those rules to no longer match any users for that segment condition. Update your flag targeting before deleting segments.
